AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I ordered a sofa in July and they've pushed back delivery several times and now they estimate the EARLIEST I'll get it it late December!!!! These people are horrible liars and every time I manage to get an actual human on the phone, they whine and complain that they're "short-staffed" and "everything is running behind" and they don't even promise to return a phone call for two weeks!!!! I am moving and can't even take delivery of the damn sofa anymore but if I cancel they'll force me to pay a 25% cancellation fee. I will be involving my bank and possibly an attorney.
We spent $5000 on a Jasper couch. It looked great in the store however once in use in began to deteriorate rapidly.
We are pursuing a refund. After 9 months its a wreck. Much better products out there.

I really wanted to love this company. I work as an interior stylist with long distance clients, so the ease of obtaining swatches, the ability to customize, and the design collaborations with industry creatives were all big pluses. To make things even easier, I live in Boston near one of their "Guideshop" locations, so I can see product in person before recommending/purchasing. Unfortunately, after placing an order with Interior Define in early January 2021, I can safely say not only will I never purchase from them again, I will tell my clients and anyone else who asks to spend their money with a more reputable company.
I was quoted 18-20 weeks for my order, which yes, is a very long lead-time. However, COVID has blown up lead-times for everyone so this wasn't a total surprise. Around week 20, delivery was scheduled. The delivery partner arrived with my two part sectional, each part packaged individually. I was informed by the delivery team that one half of the sofa they had on the truck was in a completely different color. They unpackaged the half that was correct and left. I I chalked this up to a delivery warehouse mix-up, and figured it would be resolved within a couple of days. One month later, I still have only half of a sofa. No one will tell me where the other half is, how long it will take to receive, or whether it was ever manufactured in the first place. The customer service team is either woefully understaffed or doesn't care about their customers (or both). They average one week to respond to emails and don't answer the phone or return calls after leaving a voicemail. If you want to get someone on the phone, you have to call the sales line (they answer right away there, of course!), only to have the salesperson say you have to call customer service. When I finally have did receive a response, the solution they provided was to cancel my original order and place a new order with them from their "Quickship" line. This would be another 3+ week lead-time for a less attractive, more expensive sofa -- no thanks (my guess is that the Quickship collection is a compilation of other returned/lost orders, but I digress..).
To add insult to injury, the half of the couch I do have is still off-gassing noxious fumes and the fabric on the bench seat is sagging/wrinkling after one month of very light use.
It's such a shame. Their design team is clearly very talented, but the execution of everything else is exceedingly poor. Hopefully another similar company comes along that can actually deliver a decent customer experience (oh, and maybe also actually deliver a whole couch).
Product delivery times are double as long as quoted, quality is awful, and the customer service response is to sell you more products. Horrible!!! Our couch is 6 months old, it looks like we’ve had it for 10 years. The feathers are awful and sharp, the fabric looks like it was run over, and customer service is awful. Over $2000 down the drain, we’ll have to replace this in 2 years. I am happily telling everyone I encounter to not buy from them though, at least there’s that.
I ordered an ottoman 8 months ago and they have 0 customer service! The ottoman came and the quality is horrible. Very cheap. They order everything from China and they just ship it to you takes months to come and totally not worth it!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. RUN AWAY, BUYER BEWARE. CON ARTISTS ABOUND. I cannot review the quality of the furniture, as I have yet to receive the order I placed 22 weeks ago. The order that was I was guaranteed would be in my home within 15 weeks. The order that was scanned in at a mystery warehouse in February that hasn’t actually been “received” by said warehouse (someone explain that to me please).
Listen, I know there are shipping delays. But not a single person from this company has reached out to advise on or explain the delay, or set any kind of expectation on what’s next. Customer service is non existent, I’ve been trying to call, email, and web chat for over a month to get some kind of update, but nothing. Why do you offer so many avenues for customer service if there’s no one staffing them? I get promotional emails twice a week, but I can’t get a call back regarding my likely lost order?
What a scam. I want my money back.
Please don’t be fooled by the Instagram worthy web photos, it’s all A HOAX. Do not give this company on cent of your hard earned money.
Are you listening yet, interior Define? Give me my money back plz
just now
Ordered my small couch after looking at swatches in December. They have run a 15% sale 4 times since I ordered this couch, which is pushed out now to 12-15 weeks. I asked for the sale price to be applied but they said they don't do that. They are giving me a 10% discount because of the lag in delivery time. So it's something. I wish I'd read these reviews first. I'm filled with dread now.
Like many, I was excited about Interior Define’s product line. I could have saved my self time and money had I took the time to do more research & read each negative review on independent sites and bbb regarding Interior Define’s service and products. However, shame on me, I solely relied on the fantastic marketing and positive reviews listed on Interior Define’s website. I wanted to believe that Interior Define was honestly offering a product and service that was unique and superior. Later I would learn that this company, it’s products and service are a joke. Knowing what I know now, wouldn’t rely on the reviews on Interior Define’s website. You won’t find all the real reviews there. Even my review is mysteriously missing from their site.
Now let’s get straight to the point.
Delivery: I was quoted 10-14 weeks. From the beginning of production to delivery it took about 12 weeks. I had no issue with delivery.
Product Quality and Comfort: The furniture is made in and shipped from China. I ordered a 96” Sloan sectional with standard cushions and bench seat. The fabric I chose was the Heathered Weave in the color Chalk. My sectional arrived with lumpy cushions. I thought that after some time it would even out. Besides that, from a distance it looked okay. Less than two months, the fabric began to deteriorate. The fabric was pilling and it did not stay aligned on the cushion. The fabric began looking sloppy. The lumps and pilling made my sectional look very cheap. There were permanent indentations in the cushions. The fabric began to look loose. There were feathers coming out and sharp quills poking through. There were threads hanging from my pillows. Also, I found red pen markings on one of my pillows. When I removed the cover from my cushions to further inspect I found that the cushion casing was torn and coming apart. Also, the cushions were uneven. The feathers that are used are huge and ruff. Its not fluffy soft down which I’d prefer. It also made me sneeze profusely. Several months passed, but the lumps didn’t. No matter how much I fluffed the cushions, it did not make a difference. Some areas were lumpy and some were flat. I was the only one using the furniture. From the day I received it till the day I returned it, the sectional was uncomfortable. The cushions are horrible! The fabric is cheap and doesn’t last. Not worth the $2000 I paid. Maybe worth $300. They advertise fine quality furniture, but what you receive is a product made with cheap materials.
Customer Support: Almost non-existent. Online chat is hardly ever available. Phone calls go unanswered. Email replies are slow, if any. I was unsatisfied with the quality of the product so I requested to return within my 60-day return window. I requested a return through their site in November 2020 and didn’t hear back from them until February 2021. That’s 3 months later!!! They asked for photos. I provided photos. I was promised a full refund by check. They refused to refund the shipping fee. My furniture was picked up and I’m currently waiting for that check. Hopefully I get it before summer.
If you’re considering purchasing from this company, I wouldn’t recommend it. Read the negative reviews. Also, READ THEIR RETURN POLICY FIRST! If you aren’t happy with your purchase they will only refund you 50% of your purchase. I demanded a full refund due to defects and that’s what they promised. I would never purchase Interior Define’s products again. I wish I could post photos here. I have posted my review on another review site which includes photos. If you do a search online for “interior define complaints” you will discover many true negative reviews.
I’ve made three very large purchases with the company. 1-a couch that my ex now owns; 2-the same couch to replace couch #1; 3-an ottoman.
1-great experience, material, service. Placed order in their SoHo store and was delivered on time
2-starting to go downhill. The color of the sofa was so much darker on their website than what turned up at my apt. A dark gray ended up being a light gray. Great couch, but for $3,000 you’d think they could get the color right. Haven’t returned it and I wouldn’t get the money back based on their return policy so whatever. Biggest problem though, 4.5 months to manufacture and deliver. Damn.
3-ottoman I ordered in early November 2020 has still not been delivered. Shocked it takes this long and disappointed I was stupid enough to trust this company a third time. Fool me once...
InteriorDefine has become a common joke within my friend group. There is always “drama” that I share with friends during our weekly Zoom calls because it’s either another delay or product problem. The ottoman I ordered is supposed to be green. I bet it shows up in hot pink.
We spent $5000 on a Jasper couch. It looked great in the store however once in use in began to deteriorate rapidly.

I'm tentatively hopeful that I'll need to update to a more positive review soon but my experience with this company so far has been terrible. I was told it shipped in October and would deliver to their office by 11/16. The automated email said I would get a call to schedule delivery in 3-5 days. It's now Nov 24 and I've had NO update. I waited until 11/23 to reach out to them in case they had meant to say 3-5 business days but since we'd passed even that, I called yesterday (11/23). The lady essentially told me that there are no updates and she'll have to reach out to see if anyone has one. Never heard back from her. On 11/24 I reached out again and requested the update and a copy of the BOL because at this point I am not confident it ever actually shipped. Absolutely no response from Interior Define. I've given them a few grand trusting they're providing me a product and now I can't even get any proof that is exists.
Terrible experience, please don't use this company.
If you dfon't like the furniture you've ordered they will charge you FIFTY pervent of what you paid to return it to them even if untouched! Also, the materials are cheap, smelly crap that do not resemble the photos on their site. Still off gassing after weeks! AVOID!!!!!

I was a little nervous about ordering a couch via the internet but it turned out great. I requested for some swatches and they sent me some. I checked out their Instagram and looked at their tagged photos and found a lot of couches that I liked. Eventually I settled for the Jasper and could not be happier! It’s perfect for my new apartment!
